Our History
In 2012, Buninyong Anglican Church (Holy Trinity) celebrated its 150th anniversary since the opening of the church building.
Over those 150 years, the Church has mainly been part of a Parish that contained other Churches. Most recently, Buninyong Anglican Church was part of a Parish with Holy Trinity Sebastopol and St. John’s Corindhap. St. John’s Corindhap has been an inactive church for some years. At the start of 2011 Buninyong and Sebastopol Churches separated with the current Minister, Mark Schnerring, becoming the Minister of just the Buninyong Church.
For many years, Buninyong Anglican Church stood very much in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the rest of the Diocese. Since the arrival of the current Minister, Mark Schnerring, in 2005, a gradual change has taken place, and today it is seen as an Evangelical Church.
